And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.”

Leading a team of students who were mostly older than me into a Muslim country to reach college students in the city, I felt so inadequate in so many ways. Every night, I slept in the kitchen so I could get time alone, coming to my knees and praying to God in surrender. We saw God open hearts and bring salvation and build the church in that city that summer. And it’s also where I committed my life to full-time ministry.

Coming back home that summer, I became drenched in studying God’s Word like never before and was convicted by so many things that I felt like my heart was burning all the time. I became bold in my faith and my passion for God only grew as time went by and by the grace of God, God opened up the opportunities for me to be in full-time ministry and my passion for God continues to grow to this day.
